Even in strong relationships, there are times when couples feel stuck. Maybe you’re facing a new challenge, mourning a shared loss, working through a recent betrayal, or trying to find your way out of a cycle of conflict you’ve become trapped in.
Whatever is happening, it’s likely that you both care about the relationship and sense that something needs to shift. Couples counseling offers a structured, supportive space where that shift can begin.
In our work, we move beyond simply replaying arguments and look beneath the words being said. We get curious about the feelings behind our words, the defenses that show up between you, and the moments when anxiety is heightened for either of you.
My role is to help create a sense of safety as we notice old patterns, explore current emotions, and practice new ways of being in a relationship. I’m not a judge deciding who’s right or wrong. I’m a guide to help you care for your relationship and find a way of moving forward with confidence.

I work with couples, partners, and even close friends who are:
- Grounded in a strong foundation but need support navigating a specific challenge
- Facing a major life transition like moving in together, marriage, welcoming a child, or separation
- Wanting to improve communication and strengthen connection
- Considering separation or divorce and hoping to move through it with respect and mutual consideration

While many couples seek counseling during a crisis or as a last resort, support can be just as valuable earlier on.
If you’re not sure how to address moments in your relationship that feel confusing, tense, or anxiety-provoking, then counseling can be a guide for understanding what’s happening and moving forward.

Beyond just “fixing” the immediate conflict or challenge, we focus on what you actually want to build together.
We use our sessions to practice naming your needs, sharing your desires for the relationship, and allowing vulnerability to be an opportunity for understanding and growth.
This work is delicate and challenging, so we’ll always move at a pace that feels right for both of you.
